Respected jurist, teacher, and exegete of the Qur’an Ayatollah Sadeqi Tehrani passed away on Monday, March 21. He was 85 years old. Ayatollah Muhammad Sadeqi Tehrani was born to a scholarly family in Tehran in 1347 AH (1926 CE). He received his early religious education under his father and then proceeded to study in the Islamic seminaries of Najaf and Qom under Grand Ayatollah Muhammad Hussain Burujardi, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Abul Qasim al-Khoei, Allama Sayyid Muhammad Hussain Tabatabai, and Imam Ruhullah Musawi Khomeini.
